"The Tiger: A Story of Vengeance and Survival"

John Vaillant's non-fiction novel is coming to the silver screen. "The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival" centers around a man-eating tiger that is destroying those who have enter his domain. The story takes place in 1997 far east Russia, outside a small village where the tiger has gone on a killing rampage. A team of men and dogs go on the hunt to find and destroy the Tiger before he strikes again. What they find is the Tiger is not just killing who he comes in contact with, he has a vendetta against the men who have taken over. They learn the local tribes have learned to live among the tiger undefiled. The book tells the story of the remarkable Siberian Tiger, and how man has more in common with the mysterious creature then they realized.


The movie will be in part with Brad Pitt's Production company Plan B, and will star Brad. Director Darren Aronofsky will join brad as the director, who worked with Brad on Babel. "The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival novel will be released on August 24th.
